On Saturday evening we went along to Croyden Corps to listen to the International Staff Band. The final piece for the evening was entitled I'll walk with God. It was really amazing and I could really feel God's presence with me. This piece was inspired by words from Micah 4:5 which was my bible reading for today. "For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever".
His helping hand I'll lean upon.
This is my prayer, my humble plea,
May the Lord be ever with me.
May the Lord be ever with me.
There is no death, tho' eyes grow dim.
There is no fear when I'm near to Him.
I'll lean on Him forever
And He'll forsake me never.
He will not fail me
As long as my faith is strong,
Whatever road I may walk along.
I'll walk with God,
I'll take His hand.
I'll talk with God, He'll understand.
I'll pray to Him, each day to Him
And He'll hear the words that I say.
His hand will guide my throne and rod
And I'll never walk alone
While I walk with God.
Over the past month or so I have really found that when it comes to my time with Jesus I can pray about something and with out fail (and I pray before opening up my book) that the bible reading has something to do with my prayer. Last night I was having a conversation with my husband and as I opened up my book I said to him we should be grateful and the title for the reading last night was Be Grateful. I just looked at him and pointed at it. I was speechless.
God Bless
Luanne
